Another weekend, another slate of binge-worthy movies and TV shows for you to dive into — and this week has some huge titles.

Two Oscar favorites are coming to streaming this weekend, March 22-23, while another family-friendly blockbuster hits theaters.

Over in TV land, AppleTV+’s most successful show released its season 2 finale, leaving fans with more questions than answers on what’s next (read: we may or may not have been screaming at the TV in the final minutes of the episode).

Of course, true crime devotees, we would never forget about you. Hulu had something right up its sleeve, starring Ellen Pompeo in her first role outside of Grey’s Anatomy in 20 years, while Paramount+ released a docuseries that gives an inside look at a notorious serial killer.

And there’s more! Here’s a list of the 9 best new movies and shows to watch this weekend and where to stream them.

Wicked

Everyone deserves a chance to fly — and to see this movie! Four months after its theatrical debut and award-winning campaign, 2024’s beloved blockbuster Wicked is finally coming to the comfort of your home screen.

Been itching to play “Defying Gravity” on repeat for the hundredth time while also having the full-quality accompaniment of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) singing on your screen? Well, now you can.

Severance season 2 finale

No, we are not well (nor can we think about anything else) following the jaw-dropping season 2 finale of Severance.

The second season of the Apple TV+ show came to an end on March 21 with a 76-minute final episode that gave viewers answers to the questions they’ve been posing all season: What is Cold Harbor? What will happen to Gemma? And what on earth is going on with those baby goats?

But, of course, like any good finale should make us feel: we wanted more! So it was good news when executive producer Ben Stiller confirmed hours after the finale was released that the show has been renewed for season 3. If you haven’t caught up, now is the time.

Snow White

We have Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle and (many) Cinderella live action adaptations, but now the first ever Disney princess is getting her own turn in the spotlight: Snow White.

Starring Rachel Zegler in the title role opposite Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, Snow White is a modern retelling of the age-old story.

Snow White releases in theaters on March 21.

Good American Family

Pompeo may be known for playing the iconic surgeon Meredith Grey, but she takes on a new challenge in Hulu’s Good American Family: the adoptive mother of an adult orphan who she accuses of posing as a child.

Inspired by the real case of Natalia Grace and her adoptive mother, Kristine Barnett, Good American Familywhich premiered on March 19, marks Pompeo’s first new role and adds a producing project to her production company’s repertoire.

“It was like, ‘Wow, this is intense. How would we pull this off?’ ” Pompeo told PEOPLE of her initial impression of the true story. “And I said, like I say often, ‘This isn’t for me.’ And then everyone around me convinces me that this is something you definitely should take seriously and you should do.”

The Residence

Shonda Rhimes, you did it again. The producer behind a number of hit shows from Grey’s Anatomy to Scandal is back with a series that combines her love for White House dramas and crime.

The Residencewhich came out on March 20, stars Uzo Aduba as a detective tasked with finding out who killed White House chief usher A.B. Wynter (Giancarlo Esposito). Along the way, she uncovers brewing tensions between the house’s staff and the president’s employees and must figure out the truth from the lies.

Aor

Wicked isn’t the only Oscar nominee that made its way to streaming this week! Best Picture winner Aor had its streaming debut on March 18 on Hulu.

In the movie, sex worker Anora (Mikey Madison) spontaneously marries the son of a Russian oligarch, Ivan (Mark Eydelshteyn), and goes on a days-long search for the reckless teen as his parents threaten to annul their marriage. If it sounds chaotic to you, that’s because it is — and it’s worth every minute.

Happy Face

True crime fans, here’s another for you. Paramount+’s Happy Face tells the true story of Keith Jesperson (Dennis Quaid), the real-life Happy Face Killer, as he reaches out to his daughter, Melissa G. Moore (Annaleigh Ashford) decades after being sentenced to prison for murder.

In the time since, Melissa has written a memoir, Shattered Silence: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’s Daughter, about her experience reconciling her father’s crimes, some anecdotes of which are explored in Happy Face.

“I think, watching the series, it’s given me a way of looking at my own story as an observer, and that’s a unique gift that I don’t think a lot of people get,” she told PEOPLE ahead of the show’s release. “I appreciate the gift of observing my own experience and how I parented. Now that my kids are adults, it’s kind of my graduation and my report card.”

Farmer Wants a Wife season 3 premiere

The third iteration of Farmer Wants a Wife premiered on March 20 on Fox and promises to be just as steamy as seasons past. As before, the show follows four farmers — John Sansone, Jay Woods, Matt Warren and Colton Hendricks — along their journey to find love.

But there’s a twist: the men aren’t just looking for a nice girl to call their wife, they also are searching for someone who will be able to live on their farm alongside them. Hosted by Brad Paisley’s wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Farmer Wants a Wife puts a countrified spin on popular dating shows.

Watch Farmer Wants a Wife on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET and on Hulu the next day.

9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey crossover episode

In a highly anticipated event, two of beloved TV producer Ryan Murphy’s shows, 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey, crossed over in one epic episode on March 20 with Angela Bassett, Joshua Jackson and Don Johnson all gracing the small screen together.

“It was just a love fest. It was certain times I had to, with the guys especially, I would have to walk away, center myself because they have so much wonderful energy and so much to say,” Bassett told PEOPLE of her relationship with Johnson and Jackson. “They are just such a delight.”

In the episode, Bassett’s character, Athena, joins the Odyssey cruise ship where she alerts Jackson’s Max to a nefarious plot she suspects is at play.
